Project delivery for Start-Ups and SMEs across multiple industries (legal, automotive, wholesalers, retail, service industries) to deliver IT infrastructure upgrades, GDPR/Data Privacy Compliance, business plans/formation, policy creation and website/e-commerce development, amongst others. Leading Scrum Teams, 3rd party vendors and Senior Stakeholders during project lifecycles.

 

Key Achievements/Projects

  • Achieved certification as a Professional Scrum Master PSM-2 (2022), PSM-1 (2021) and GDPR F, EU General Data Protection Regulation Foundation (2020).
  • Led a project during PSM-1 certification to introduce SCRUM to a corporate IT department of 100+ - mentored team on ceremonies, set tasks and educated product owners on AGILE – commended for achieving a 15% improvement in productivity.
  • Parachuted into a software project for a lab due to clinical expertise as SCRUM master to facilitate an IT upgrade merging 4 patient data sets from a GP, 2 hospitals and private lab – led sprints, set tasks, removed impediments and delivered the solution in 8 months – set user levels, eliminated duplication, introduced audit trails, introduced process for GDPR/Data Privacy and created/delivered user training.
  • Developed and launched a new social app called Naijaface – sourced developers and delivered a suite of services including testing, onboarding, payments/subscriptions and GDPR compliance.
  • Life cycle managed the creation of a new charitable foundation – The Good Samaritan Community Foundation – company formation, policies, business plan and website including content/branding.
  • Life cycle managed a community project Voice of Joy from greenfield – business plan, memorandum, policies, data privacy and website creation/launch.
  • Contracted to run a Data Privacy Impact Assessment (DPIA) for a Church to drive GDPR compliance.
  • Performed a DPIA for a legal practice and created/embedded new policies for data privacy compliance, enhanced their website and collaborated with 3rd parties on FOI requests.
  • Created and delivered accredited courses in Cybersecurity, Business Analysis and Administration.
  • Acted as SPOC for the ICO during consultations under Article 36 and consulting matters.
  • Developed numerous electronic Information Asset Registers for businesses on SharePoint.
  • Contracted to review company’s business practices and risk-based privacy assessments (ISO270001).
  • Designed training programmes/workshops re. confidential use of data, new legislation, regulatory changes, compliance issues and relevant information briefings for employees to C-Suite.

    Functions:

 

  • Worked closely with the development team, BA teams and Testing teams, managing a variety of small and medium short-term projects.
  • Liaising with developers and reviewing technical artefacts, solution design documents, technical specs, and data models.
  • Coordinated the planning and execution of training/knowledge management programmes.
  • Worked on Quality & Business Assurance Plans for business sponsor, ensured acceptance criteria are met and activities to assure the project throughout the lifecycle and at final delivery was agreed.

  • Working with the Product owners to clarify the roadmap, and improved transparency of the sprint backlog progress by sharing a weekly status report towards the sprint goal.

  • Handpicked by the Head of the British African Business Alliance to lead a £10m development project to deliver homes for low-income workers in Kenya. Operated remotely coordinating 15 developers, site managers and representatives from the Kenyan Govt from scope to delivery over a 16-month period – kick off, plan, progress reporting, financing, troubleshooting and sign off.

 

2015 – 2018

  • Contracted by a London based African Wholesaler to help develop their brand, business, margin and footprint across the UK. Improved turnover 5000% from £20k to £1m+, facilitated the purchase of their own premises, developed their website and social media, introduced processes to reduce waste and drove margin >15%.
