With the NHS being the largest employer in the UK and the 8th largest employer in Europe you can only imagine the amount of equipment/ services required to keep the NHS running. In order to sell and supply to the NHS, you need to have an understanding of the NHS and their purchasing methods. You will also need to able to create liaisons with NHS Managers which requires a market insight into the NHS. Some roles may include researching trusts and projects to generate leads. As you will be speaking with NHS Professionals on a regular basis you must be well spoken and professional to every customer/ client you deal with. You will also be responsible for making repeat sales to customers. Sales is a targets driven industry and the work can sometimes be demanding.
