Job Requirements/Description
We are looking for enthusiastic, empathetic and committed Assistant Deputy Manager who is able to lead and motivate carers in a domiciliary/community care environment. You will be work closely with the Care Manager, providing a safe, legal and ethical practice of the day-to-day care function of the business and help in supporting and promoting independent living for our Services Users who are at the heart of everything they do.

The Care provider has been awarded Outstanding for Caring by CQC, rated a Top 10 Award by Homecare and currently holds Review score of 9.7/10 for the care that they provide.

Skills for the Assistant Deputy Manager role:

* An understanding for their role, its pressures and how to ensure you are getting the best out of a team through mentoring and ongoing support.

* Build trusting, positive relationships with colleagues, management and service users as well as external healthcare professionals and bodies.

* Able to work in a team environment but equally confident and capable working on own initiative.

* Happy to work when the business dictates work in the community mixed with office hours.

* Both hands on care experience and relevant office experience in a care setting, for example previously worked on care plans, carried out supervisions and organised Rota's.

Requirements of the role:

* Experience of domiciliary/ community care within a supervisory/managerial capacity.

* Must have NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or higher, or equivalent.

* Confident working with service users, a solid understanding of care plans and how these are implemented.

* Must have a full and clean current DBS.

* Must have a full driving license.

* Have, or be working towards a management qualification/ NVQ4

* Looking for a long term role in care management.

* Excellent communication skills.

* Good planning and organisational skills.

* Sound understanding of good care principles.

* Skills in assessment and care planning.

* Ability to cope with pressure and display empathy and warmth.

* Ability to prioritise own workload, confident working to deadlines, as well as having an adaptable and flexible approach to new working methods
