Associate Practitioner (Lab Technician) - Bracknell - 9 Month FTC - £21,892 + shift allowance 8am and 8pm starts, 3 days on, 3 days off; 7-day working My client based in Bracknell are looking for a number of Associate Practitioners to work in a state of the art diagnostics laboratory to support a COVID-19 related project. As well as playing a critical role in the fight against COVID-19 and the return to a more normal way of life the successful candidate will gain invaluable exposure to some of the country's most highly skilled individuals in the scientific community. The successful Associate Practitioners will be responsible for: ·Provide timely and accurate high-quality scientific information ·Work as part of a team and carry out varied tasks including primary specimen preparation, RNA extraction and data manipulation ·Participate in general laboratory duties including preparation of workstations at the start of a shift and cleaning down stations at the end of a shift ·You'll need to ensure that processes are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the laboratory's required standards Skills required for the Lab Technician: ·Education to A Levels, NVQ 4 or IBMS Certificate of Achievement (Part 2) or Foundation degree, in a science based subject ·Effective computer and keyboard skills ·Organised and methodical ·Ability to work under pressure and prioritise work ·Good communication skills ·Self-organisation and the ability to prioritise ·Follow protocols and instructions accurately Full training and supervision will be provided
