A North West Trust are looking for a Senior EUC Engineer to assist the trust with the below requirement;

Trust user workspace infrastructure.

Responsible for planning and delivery of an efficient, responsive, effective and customer focused service. Monitoring and maintenance of technical infrastructure systems.

Systems administration.

Assist the EUC manager with the delivery of an efficient EUC workspace for all trust users supporting the delivery of a new EPR.  Administrating the infrastructure that provides desktop operating system estate across Windows clients, tablets and mobile devices and other client access devices.  Providing technical expertise in the Administration of Operating system and Application deployment tools.  Maintaining Antivirus systems, administration of Virtual and VDI environments, Hardware asset management and mobile device management tools.

Security & performance monitoring and maintenance.

Monitoring network and Web server activity for security breaches using intrusion detection techniques.

Performing file system management, Installing and managing the application deployment platforms that serve production, reporting, disaster recovery, training and non-production needs for installing and maintaining the administrative and monitoring tools necessary for high levels of availability and performance of the system, Understanding performance metrics, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting issues.  Advise and supporting the EUC manager on capacity and availability management, recommending efficient and effective solutions to support the delivery of IT in short, medium and long term. Assisting in the configuration and troubleshooting of integrated third party software and peripherals, Applying platform and system upgrades and updates to production and non-production Web server components, Managing logins for different types of access, including login behaviour and working environment configuration. Applying platform and system upgrades and updates to production and non-production components, Engaging in capacity planning exercises to ensure adequate system resources, Writing and maintaining scripts to improve system management tasks, Participating in your change control process for all planned application and technical activities Maintaining and testing processes related to business continuity Following vendor and system best practices for hardware and software configuration

Supervisory duties.

Supervise, manage, and coach junior staff within the EUC team.

Attend and accept actions from programme meetings. Assigning to appropriate team members if applicable, retaining responsibility for delivery.

SCCM.

Designing and implementing a windows update policy and process, documenting the same for support purposes.

This policy should align with agreed trust maintenance windows and test device pools.

Generating and deploying application packages as per requirements provided.

Amendments to sub task sequences when required.

Support and management of application deployments.

Active Directory.

Management and maintenance of AD OU/GPO/Wintel troubleshooting.  Creating powershell scripts from scratch to deliver to required specifications.

Maintenance of sync to Azure from AD.

AD-HOC Technical

Deliver technical input in response to assigned work packages and resolve associated assigned tasks. 

Site based for the 1st month and then remote working may be possible subject to requirements.
