Support Worker (no experience needed) Winchester, Hampshire £10.50 - £12.05 per hour My client based in Hampshire are looking for a number of Complex Care Support Workers due to their success and growth. Experience is desired however, for people with the right attitude my client will provide all the necessary training needed. My client can offer flexible working days or nights, days being 12 hours and nights being 9 hours. Job role: * To assist customers with personal care needs of the particular service as detailed in their individual care plan. This will include help with personal care, helping to dress, cooking, local shopping and some housework and laundry. Duties may also include taking the customer into the community, accessing local facilities that enable the customer to also participate in the wider community. * Read and follow the care plan within the customer's home, carrying out the particular tasks as detailed for the visit. * Complete a log sheet at the end of each visit, stating the tasks that have been undertaken and any other relevant information. * Ensure all written records are factual, accurate and do not contain personal opinion and are clearly signed and dated. Use a person-centred approach at all times, ensuring the customer is in control of their care and support wherever possible. * To be fully aware of their responsibilities and remit in the administration of medicines as taught during induction training, reporting any concerns immediately to your line manager/on-call if out of hours. * To encourage independence of the customer and not foster dependent behaviour. * To assist the customer with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including incontinence, using aids and personal equipment i.e. hoists, assistive technology etc in line with their individual care plans. * To communicate effectively with customers, carers and other professionals. * To report any concerns to your line manager relating to significant changes in the customers health and support needs. * To contribute to the customer review process, along with the customer assessor and all other involved parties, by using knowledge of assisting the customer in meeting the desired outcomes.
