Role Overview We are currently looking for a QC Equipment Specialist to join a leading pharmaceutical company based in Kent. As the QC Equipment Specialist you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, operation and validation of laboratory equipment. This role will involve the calibration of equipment, scheduling maintenance and tracking of instrument availability. Duties and Responsibilities As the QC Equipment Specialist you will work on maintaining KPI's for equipment availability and issue resolution. You will further develop new KPI's and tracking systems to contribute to the continuous improvement activities associated with the equipment. You will liaise with engineers and service providers to schedule planned maintenance. Liaising with vendors and procurement to set up or terminate equipment will be among your duties. Ensuring all data generated from maintenance, validation and repair activities are reviewed and in line with the appropriate regulatory standards will be among your duties. You will be responsible for raising and oversight of instrument deviation investigations. You will lead QC instrument projects which will involve raising the relevant change controls, validation and documentation to support new equipment introductions.Experience and Education A suitable scientific degree or masters such as, but not limited to, Chemistry or Engineering and a number of years of laboratory experience with laboratory equipment or validation. It is essential you have a number of years of experience within the pharmaceutical or medical device industry and hold a detailed knowledge of analytical techniques. It is essential to your application that you have industry experience within a GMP laboratory.
