Recovery Practitioner Location: Redbridge Salary: £24,627 - £29,000 Application Deadline: Sunday, June 27, 2021 Job Summary Are you a recovery practitioner with specialist knowledge and interest in substance misuse treatment and recovery? This is a new opportunity to provide recovery-focused care in one of WDP’s fully-integrated flagship services. The Service Launched in 2018, WDP Redbridge is a fully integrated substance misuse service, providing clinical and psychosocial interventions, operating from a main treatment hub, with additional satellites within the community. The team actively promotes recovery and works with individuals that are directly and indirectly affected by substance misuse, working with the local community to improve the health, wellbeing and functioning of Redbridge residents, irrespective of circumstance. The service actively promotes recovery with individuals directly affected by substance misuse issues, those affected by someone else’s substance misuse and the local community, to improve the wider health and wellbeing of society. Together we offer a wide range of pharmacological, psychosocial, recovery-orientated, health focused and inpatient interventions that support individuals and their families who wish to receive advice, assessment, and treatment for their drug and/ or alcohol related needs. The Role The recovery practitioner role will hold a focused caseload of service users who are predominantly in recovery and in post treatment. The role is part of the Recovery Hub which provides psychosocial interventions, group work, peer support, building recovery in the community and service user involvement. The main focus is the reintegration of service users into the community. We are seeking committed, organised and highly motivated candidates, with an in-depth knowledge and experience of the challenges affecting people with substance misuse and related health and wellbeing issues. Conditions Salary band of £24,627 - £29,000 per annum Fixed Term contract for one year. 37.5 hours per week, with some evening clinics Location The role is predominantly based in Ilford, Redbridge at Ilford Chambers, but at times may involve travel to external meetings and satellites within the borough, and to other WDP locations as needed.
