Unsung Hero Awards 2018 Feedback
A month on from holding the Unsung Hero Awards 2018 and our team wants to thank everyone who participated in our celebration of NHS non-medical staff and volunteers. It’s been an incredible experience to see the number of attendees grow over three times from the previous year!
The event itself received lots of positive feedback. The feedback survey was completed by 30% of all attendees and showed high scores. The importance of the event was scored 9.73 out of 10 on average, the event met expectations (9.03 out of 10), people would be happy to participate again (9.23 out of 10), people will nominate their colleague next year (8.80 out of 10) and will circulate information about the awards among their colleagues (9.42 out of 10).
Here is just a few words from the feedback that we received: “It was fantastic to see non-clinical staff in the NHS who work incredibly hard and are rarely acknowledged, celebrated for their achievements”; “Truly an amazing night and such a worthwhile set of awards”; “There was a warm, really enjoyable atmosphere in the room which I am told is not always present at a lot of these events”; “It is fantastic that we are recognised by our co-workers and made to feel important. It is very special.”
Thank you for all your kind words – it means the world to us!
We will work hard to improve our future events and deliver the best experience for our nominees, nominators and special guests. Following your recommendations, our main goals for the next year are the following:
- To increase promotion of inspiring stories on the night and after the awards.
- To allow more time for nominees to speak on stage and to organise an opportunity for all our guests to receive a professional photo.
- To work closer with the Comms teams of Trusts, CEOs and local MPs, to increase the popularity of the awards.
- To investigate better ways to raise funds for our chosen charity.
- To satisfy your desire for dancing. 😊
This year the Unsung Hero Awards separated from GoToJobBoard and started out on it’s personal journey. We hope that it will only grow in the future and increase the awareness of the hard work that non-medical staff do on a daily basis.
