IT Deployment engineers work as part of the IT Support Team in the deployment, maintenance and support of IT related Hardware and Software. Deployment engineers have specialist skills and knowledge enabling them to engage all users within the NHS Trust and interested parties that deal with the Trust including suppliers, system users. In a fast changing and evolving IT landscape the IT Project Support Engineer will need to keep abreast of new technologies and ensure their skill set is appropriate and up to date. Working with the whole IT Team the post holder will be required to contribute to the planning, implementation of Microsoft operating systems (Windows 10) to the entire suite of Trust PC’s and Laptops during major replacement programmes and version upgrades and provide leadership and guidance to junior team members. Deployment engineers are key members of the Support Desk Team providing senior high level technical support as the service demands.
